The Davis Turkey Trot  is an annual running/walking event taking placeon the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving each year. The event offers a distance for every age and athletic ability. Whether 2009 will mark your first Davis Turkey Trot or your fifteenth, we welcome you to join us in the festivities. This year's event will occur on Saturday, November 21st.

We are piloting Event Brite online registration for 2009. The "convenience fee" for Event Brite's online registration is approximately one-third the cost of competitors (ONLY 99 CENTS/entry!!). We are excited to be able to pass this savings on to you and make online registration both more convenient and more affordable. We offer payment via credit card through Google Checkout as well as the option to pay via PayPal.

If you would prefer to pay with check or cash, we offer both entry via US Mail (please, no cash), registration at Fleet Feet Davis (cash or check), as well as late registration both at Packet Pick Up and on Race Day (cash or check accepted).

What's a Ticket? A "ticket" is essentially one entry to an event type. To register, select the number of people ("Tickets") you would like to register for each event type.   For example, if you wish to register two kids for the Fun Runs, you would select  2 tickets to the Kids Fun Runs. As the ticket buyer (usually the parent), you will enter your information first, followed by each child's information, age, shirt size, event distance, etc.

Tshirt Upgrades:

All entrants will receive one  short-sleeve, 100% cotton tshirt  and a goody bag. Some participants prefer  (in lieu of a short sleeve cotton shirt) either a short sleeved technical shirt ("moisture wicking") or a long sleeve shirt (100% cotton), so we make these options available for an additional $5.00. The technical and long sleeve shirts are only available in adult sizes Small through X-Large. To register for an "upgraded" shirt, be sure to select  the appropriate "Upgraded Shirt" ticket type.

Please note, shirt upgrades are available only through November 10th.

Event Distances and Start Times:

8:00 am - 5K Baby Jogger/Stroller Run/Walk

8:20am - 5K Run/Walk

8:45am - 1 Mile Fitness Walk

9:00 am - 10K Run/Walk

10:30 am - Chipotle 3K Relay Challenge

11:30-12:00 - Kids Fun Runs (1 Mile first; then 1/2, 1/4 mile and concluding with the Toddler Trot).

* No strollers are permitted in the 5K at 8:20 or in the 10K at 9:10 am. Strollers and baby joggers may register for our special 5K Baby Jogger (8:00 am) or the 1 Mile Fitness Walk.

Entry Confirmation

Online entries will receive an automatic email confirmation. Entries via US Mail or in-person at Fleet Feet will not. You can view a list of registered participants on our website starting on October 1.

Packet Pick Up

Bibs, chips (5K/10K) and Tshirts may be picked up at Packet Pick Up at Fleet Feet Davis on Friday, November 20th from 11am to 5pm. If you are unable to pick up on Friday, you may do so on race day (11/21) at Civic Center Field starting at 6:30 am. Photo ID is not required to pick up packets and we do allow family members/friends to pick up for each other. Online entrants will need to sign or bring a signed waiver with them.
